Trip to Cambridge... in the rain.

In our bid to get out and about each weekend, we made a trip to Cambridge on  Saturday. Looking back, maybe Saturday wasn't the best day. It rained the whole day we were there and the London cold and rain just don't go together..:(..I'm starting to spot a trend here!

Nonetheless, Cambridge was a very pretty town. It is a University town and there was a different college on every corner, each with it's own history and stories. Like Oxford, Cambridge Univeristy is actually made up of 31 colleges, so you don't actually go to Cambridge University.

No trip to any London town is complete without a trip to the local pub and tasting the traditional roasts and beer. All in all the day was really good and well worth the visit...

Starting the day out at Kings Cross station,
where we caught the train to Cambridge

The Cambridge markets..lots of fresh food
and vegetables and pastries..yummm!

St Mark's Church
Walking down the many little streets
The lush lawns of one of the many colleges
A rainy and dreary dayin Cambridge
Taking a ride down the canals..
Cambridge is very picturesque  No day would be complete without a cup of
hot chocolate
