Brighton, UK
16th August 2008The closest beach from London city that is infamous
Not much to say other than a day trip taking advantage of the day saver ticket from National Rail to the beach side town of Brighton. We were lucky with a great day and loved it out there. Fish and chips on the pier should have been something to look forward to but left us with an upset stomach (I think it was the generous amount of oil on the fish that we could see). Walking around the town, we decided we could definitely be back and spend a whole weekend in Brighton and it's surrounds.
| They have the flags, don't know, but I was surprised | The beach front is quite exciting |
| Not really impressed, no one in the water | This is the sand (large sand particles, AKA pebbles) |
| Ashika and Emma, love the hats | They did have some picturesque seating |
| Some random lopsided skate ramp | Old school, merry go round |
| Ashika after a hard week at work | |
| Ashika's arty B&W shot, quite nice actually | Who's this sexy man? |
| Ashika and Emma again | The burnt out West Pier |
| Clash of stereotypes | The pier had rides and roller coaster as well |
| Many amusement activities | Waiting for the raging bull to become free |
| Jeremy wanted to be a bull rider | He didn't do too badly |
| I tried the basketball game, I'm a little rusty it seems | |
| Pitcher of Pimms and Lemonade on the beach | Jeremy seemed to enjoy it |
| The dark glasses hide the fact that I'm sleeping | Emma deep in thought |
| Too cool for school |
