Rav and Minaxi in London

Rav and Minaxi, newly married earlier this year (see pics here) decided to do some traveling through Europe and stopped in London for a couple of days. They spent a couple of days in Birmingham at Minaxi's aunty and uncle's place. They they spent some time with us before departing for Barcelona.

Having got to our place on Friday night, we decided to go to Piccadilly Circus for some dinner at a nice Malaysian place Ashika and I know (C&R for those of you who are familiar with the restaurant in London). We had though about walking through Trafalgar Square and seeing London by night, but this was spoilt by the typical London weather.

On Saturday, after having breakfast at Giraffe we started our walk around London at St Paul's Cathedral. We then walked across Millennium Bridge to the South Bank. From here, followed the South Bank all the way through to the London Eye. We'd though about taking a flight (they call it a flight because it's sponsored by British Airways) but London's weather reared it head and the view didn't seem like it would be too great. So we thought we'd save if for the return trip to London when Rav and Minaxi are heading home.

We walked over Westminster Bridge, past Westminster Abbey and to Trafalgar Square. I told Rav that it was tradition to climb onto the Lion and take a photo, but given the slippery surface it probably wasn't safe (especially as they'd just started their trip). We then walked through Leicester Square back to Piccadilly Square, where we were yesterday. At this point, the weather turned so sour that we decided to call it a day. Also, seeing as Rav and Minaxi's flight was at 6pm, we needed to get home and for them to get ready to get to Gatwick Airport.
