13th and 14th December 2008Having heard so much about the Xmas markets, we decided to visit some in Denmark
Not much to say really, this was simply a fly in on Saturday and fly out on Sunday job. We visited the Xmas markets on the Saturday (into the evening, though that started around 3pm) and did bits and pieces around Copenhagen on the Sunday. The Xmas markets were held in Tivoli Gardens which any other time of the year is a beautiful garden and amusement park in Copenhagen. The park opened on August 15, 1843 and, except for Dyrehavsbakken in nearby Klampenborg, it is the oldest amusement park in the world.
Probably the other notable is the Little Mermaid statue on the shores of Copenhagen harbour. Anyway, enjoy the pictures below.
