Croatia
Having heard for quite some time that the Dalmatiasn Coast and the islands within it are a cheaper alternative for the Greek Islands, we decided to see what the fuss was about. We spent 2 days each in Split, Hvar and Dubrovnik.

Brighton Beach
Right, let's get this straight, 'beach' is a very loose term when people refer to Brighton Beach in the UK. But, that said, we decided to take advantage of Nation Rail's 4 person day pass and go to Brighton for the day with Jeremy and Emma (who we met on the Turkey tour). Luckily we were blessed with great weather.

Edinburgh, Scotland
Each year there is the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the world’s largest arts festival. Our main purpose for going to the Fringe was the comedy performances that take place. We went with Simon and Adele (I'd worked with Simon while I was at Deloitte) who we'd previously accompanied to Loch Ness.

Centre Court, Wimbledon
Having entered the public ballots for Wimbledon tickets, we were very surprised when 10 days prior to it starting, we received notification that we'd secured tickets to centre court for day 4 of the first week.

Brian from Au visits
Ashika's friend Brian from work in Australia (NAB) visited us in London en-route to the states. We met him on the Saturday and went to Spittlefields markets near Brick Lane (famous in London for the strip of Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants). It was a beautiful day to be out and about and we came home with Indian sweets for some dessert after having had lunch at the markets (Brian had Ethiopian food while Ashika and I had Thai).
